We’re excited to officially announce the launch of our new collaboration with Behrens Pumpen and the IAT at the University of Bremen. The project was approved by the Bremer Aufbau-Bank on March 21, 2025, and has been underway since January 1, 2025.

Together, we’re working on innovative solutions to improve energy efficiency in maritime cooling systems. The project runs until the end of 2026 and focuses on:

• Developing a smart control system for energy-saving operation of centrifugal pumps on ships
• Creating an algorithm to analyze existing cooling systems, suggest optimized control strategies, and predict energy savings
• Designing a step-by-step modernization concept to help ship operators improve their systems and understand the potential benefits
